GWU F.I.R.E. NSBE CHAPTER HISTORY

The George Washington University's F.I.R.E. (Future Innovative Rising Engineers) NSBE chapter has existed for a long time, but in a very small number. Despite our small size our chapter has won the Best Chapter Award for two consecutive years, from 2003-2005. We were able to receive this award because of our positive impact in our community.
The GW Chapter is also affiliated with a local, high school NSBE Chapter. They are called our Pre-College Initiatives, School Without Walls Pre-College Initiative NSBE Chapter, or NSBE Jr.'s. We have an executive officer advising and supervising our junior chapter.

Our Chapter is indiscriminate of its members. In other words, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE BLACK, and YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ENGINEER to join NSBE. We have a lot of non-black and non-engineering majors in our society, even on the Executive Board. So do not be scared to join NSBE. Its a great way to network and grasp opportunities.
NSBE is divided into six regions, in respect to the Chicago Six. The GW Chapter belongs to Region II. Below is the Region II motto:
Can I get a Twwoooo Hhyyyyyyyppe!!!
Twwoooo Hhyyyyyyyppe!!!!!
